It’s taken a long time to lock everything in but we can finally reveal the details of Eat Drink Blog Pop-Up Dinner on Saturday night 9 November, after the conference at the Perth City Farm courtyard from 7pm-10pm for delegates.

Thanks to the Citibank Dining Program, a great supporter of the food and wine industry, including many great foodie events around Australia, for coming on board as the Eat Drink Blog Pop-Up Dinner Venue Sponsor.

We are excited to present to delegates some of Perth’s best food stalls and food trucks.

Marcelita’s Empanadas

Marcelita’s Empanadas is the culinary love child of Matt & Marcela O’Donohue Valencia, born from a love a great food and a desire to bring something new to the people of Perth. Matt is a blogger turned cook and Marcela is the love of his life.

Marcelita’s serves traditional Colombian Empanadas, they are little pillows of crunchy deliciousness which are gluten free and use high quality ingredients. Their empanadas are made fresh to order with a team of empanadistas hand rolling and shaping the masa (dough), filled with typical Colombian flavours of shredded beef, cumin, smoked paprika, and coriander, and new inventions like pork and lime. They bring a little love in each bite.

Roy is a devoted foodie and took a year to perfect his pasta-like dumpling pastry which uses a mix of five different flours and sources local ingredient for the fillings.

Bangkok Jump Street

Bangkok Jump Street is new on the Perth food scene, bringing traditional Thai street food with true flavours and hidden textures which are less seen in modern Thai restaurants.

Bangkok Jump Street was created from a group of young multicultural friends, who are full senses of unstoppable creativity and experiment, and invite delegates into their local culture of Thai street food eating with their signature dishes, presented in their own way with dishes like prawn pad thai with crispy wonton skin and Jump Street’s Pork crackling salad.

Jax Coco DrinksEat Drink Blog 4 in Perth coincides with WA Beer week and we are thrilled to have Eagle Bay Brewing as our craft beer sponsors giving delegates a taste of our locally brewed beer.

The journey of Eagle Bay Brewing Co. began thanks to third generation farming siblings Nick, Astrid and Adrian d’Espeissis and their love of great food, wine, freshly brewed beer and growing up by the Indian Ocean.

Eagle Bay Brewing Co. houses a microbrewery and restaurant located on the family farm in Eagle Bay, Western Australia. Rainwater is harvested for their beers which are handcrafted and brewed in small batches, and made with only four quality ingredients; rainwater, malted barley, yeast and hops sourced from around the globe to produce full flavoured and freshly brewed beer.

EBBThe weather has been very kind to us and we will be experiencing perfect cider weather for Eat Drink Blog and purveyors of fine Australian beverages Custard & Co are our cider sponsor bringing to delegates their new range (and newly labeled!) ciders for the summer.

Their cider is crafted in Donnybrook, in the beautiful South West using 100% local fruit from their 35 acres of organic orchard. Careful processes are used with everything done by hand to provide the best drink possible with a motto of treating all their products like each other…with a lot of love.

There are minimal preservatives in their ciders with a caustic free brewery, keeping them as natural as possible to give delegates the best tasting cider going around.

We are also proud to have Galafrey Wines, a family-owned business from Mount Baker as our wine sponsor.  All their wines are dry grown, nurtured and bottled on the estate. Established by Ian Tyrer (1946-2003) in 1977, Galafrey has continued to prosper under the management of mother and daughter team, Linda and Kim Tyrer, who maintain a hands-on role to ensure that the Galafrey philosophy lives on. That is to strive for excellence in producing small parcels of distinctive and consistently exceptional wines through commitment to producing fruit of the highest quality which we believe is the key to great winemaking.
