Sunday Activity – Option 2: Unearth the Mystery of Mushrooms

This year the committee has organised three different half-day food and drink activities for Sunday 10 November. The activities will be for groups of 30-35 people, providing delegates the opportunity to engage with a local business/industry and learn a thing or two.

Delegates will get a choice to participate in one of the activities.

When delegates have their registration confirmed, a separate email will be sent out to select a Sunday activity.

We are excited to reveal that the second activity delegates will get to choose from is a mushroom farm tour and hands on cooking challenge thanks to Australian Mushroom Growers.

Australian Mushroom Growers are hosting a rare opportunity for bloggers to indulge their senses and inspire creative talent with mushrooms.

Have you ever wondered what makes mushrooms so special and how growers produce this fascinating and versatile ingredient all year round?

Here is your chance to discover how it is done.  The magic of mushrooms will come alive as you tour Crown Mushrooms in Wanneroo in the morning, followed by a hands on team challenge to prepare a mushroom feast for lunch in the training kitchen facilities in the neighbouring West Coast Institute of Training.

This promises to be a fascinating and delicious culinary adventure.

Thanks to Australian Mushroom Growers for coming on board and sponsoring a Sunday activity for Eat Drink Blog 4!

There is one more Sunday activity to be announced.

We have already announced a Mastering French Pastries with Emmanuel Mollois.

Stay tuned…
